NEW ECO FRIENDLY ADVENT CALENDAR

The festive Christmas period is always a time of fun, lovely food and presents for most families making memories that last a lifetime. But the darker side of Christmas is the environmental impact that the excess waste that Christmas generates every year has on our planet. With so much unwanted gifts, packaging and wrapping unfortunately landing up in landfill, it has such a detrimental impact on our environment.

So when MijMoj set about developing our own advent calendar we were focussed on developing an environmentally friendly solution to the product. Developing an item that can be reused time after time is the best product solution for our environment in most situations. Ensuring the materials selected are also carefully considered are vitally important too. Therefore we developed just that, a fun advent calendar that can be reused time after time without compromising on the fun and element of surprise, not knowing what is behind every door that kids and big kids love!

Our ‘fill your own’ advent calendar can be customised with chocolate, candy treats, money or toys, allowing customers to make up each calendar with the recipients favourite treats, perfect for customers with food intolerances or dislike of chocolate too.

A simple square piece of offcut wrapping paper, tin foil or newspaper can then be placed over the treats to hide them. Then front panel is then placed on top and screwed in place, creating 24 fun advent doors to break through. The door material can the be recycled and replaced for the following year.

The advent calendar is made from environmentally friendly FSC birch ply and engraved with the child’s name, family name or short message such as Merry Christmas. Making it a fun addition to your family Christmas tradition without costing the planet, a win win!
