Hosted by the brilliant Sian Lloyd and Humphrey Ker, the event recognised an inspiring group of 36 incredible individuals, organisations, and businesses who’ve gone above and beyond for Wrexham.
Crafting Awards for Local Heroes:
This year, MijMoj were proud to design and handcraft all 36 awards — each one lovingly made from solid oak in our North Wales workshop and donated to the cause. It was such a privilege to see our work in the hands of so many inspiring winners, each with their own story of passion, creativity, and commitment to the community.
The 2024/25 Overall Winners:
Out of the 36 well-deserving nominees, four outstanding overall winners were chosen on the night:
Laura Evison Artwork — for her exceptional talent and creativity.
Stephanie Butterton — for her tireless fundraising and inspirational spirit.
Fern Evans — for her dedication to reviving Wrexham’s beloved market scene.
Wrexham Litter Pickers — who have collected an astonishing 40,000 bags to date, helping to keep our city clean and green.
Every story shared that evening reminded us why community matters — and why we’re so proud to be part of such a caring, creative, and forward-looking region.
The atmosphere at Maesgwyn Hall was electric — full of warmth, pride, and applause as local people came together to celebrate one another. It was humbling to hear the stories behind each nomination and to see the joy on everyone’s faces as they accepted their handcrafted awards.
At MijMoj, we believe in creating pieces that tell stories — and this project was a perfect reminder that what we make can help celebrate the people who make a difference.
